The organization is committed to advancing and celebrating women in screen-based media, and the inclusion of Montaña de Luz is a testament to Elisa’s work in cinematography as well as our producer, Jody Thompson’s work in the post-production phase. We had a fantastic time at the Heartland Film Festival in Indianapolis a couple of weeks ago. We were overwhelmed not only with how we were treated by the festival folks, but also by the positive responses of audiences. Montana de Luz screened 9 times over the course of the festival and we got to attend 6 of them and had Q&A times with the audience afterwards. Audiences really seemed moved by the children of Montana de Luz and were extremely appreciative of having the opportunity to hear their stories. We’re so honored that we could have a hand in that.
